Wyndham Hotels & Resorts has appointed company veteran Christopher Androski as chief accounting officer, succeeding Nicola Rossi this summer, according to a Monday filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
After nearly 25 years with Wyndham, Rossi is stepping down from his role as chief accounting officer, in a departure that “is both mutual and amicable,” a company spokesperson told Hotel Dive. Rossi plans to remain in the role through the filing of Wyndham’s Form 10-Q in July and help with Androski’s transition into the role, the spokesperson said.
Androski, who is currently senior vice president and controller at Wyndham, will assume the chief accounting officer role effective July 31, 2026, per the filing. Androski has held his current title at Wyndham since May 2018 and previously served in multiple leadership roles across the organization. Before Wyndham, Androski worked at Galileo Americas, a subsidiary of Travelport, as well as Cendant Corporation, according to his LinkedIn profile.
Androski’s appointment comes roughly two months after Wyndham appointed Amit Sripathi as chief financial officer, succeeding Michele Allen.
Also in the Monday SEC filing, Wyndham announced that CEO Geoff Ballotti is undergoing treatment for multiple myeloma, a type of cancer.
In a letter to Wyndham team members, Ballotti said he has started “a clear and targeted treatment plan,” during which he plans to “continue working largely as I normally do.” The Wyndham board of directors was notified of his condition last week and “supports this approach,” Ballotti detailed in the letter.
“We’re off to a strong start this year and are enthusiastic about the opportunities that lie ahead and our ability to deliver outstanding value for our franchisees, guests, shareholders, and each other,” Ballotti wrote.
During a first-quarter earnings call last month, Ballotti said that U.S. RevPAR in Wyndham’s economy and midscale segments “continues to recover ahead of expectations,” and the company is approaching “the peak leisure summer season with increasing optimism.”
