Dive Insight:
Outdoor Collection was created to offer travelers an immersive stay in nature without forfeiting “the comforts that make a stay feel effortless,” Diana Plazas-Trowbridge, chief lodging product and services officer for the U.S. and Canada at Marriott, said in a statement. Reset “strikes that balance perfectly,” offering access to Joshua Tree, thoughtful design and experiences that help guests connect more deeply with the destination, she added.
The hotel was “designed to blur the lines between indoors and out,” with guest rooms featuring natural textures; desert views; and private patios with fire pits, daybeds and “stargazing platforms,” according to Marriott.
Guests can also participate in the property’s immersive stargazing programming, with Celestron telescopes. Other curated experiences include creative residencies and astronomy events led by former NASA astronomers.
The property also offers shared amenities, including outdoor soaking tubs, communal fire pits, a saltwater pool, a jacuzzi, a sauna and a cold plunge.
Reset Hotel joins the Trailborn and Postcard Cabins brands in Marriott’s Outdoor Collection. Marriott acquired Postcard Cabins and entered a strategic partnership with Trailborn in December 2024, at which time the company first teased the Outdoor Collection brand. The deals added Postcard Cabins’ 1,200 cabins as well as Trailborn’s portfolio across top U.S. leisure destinations to Marriott’s system.
Marriott competitors also expanding in outdoor hospitality include Hilton, which is actively growing its partnership with luxury glamping brand AutoCamp, and BWH Hotels, which recently launched a new collection of upscale outdoors-inspired accommodations.
