Cloud5 Communications, a leading provider of technology and communications solutions and services for more than 5,000 hotels across the Americas, today announced the appointment of hospitality technology veteran Mike Dickersbach as Chief Technology and Transformation Officer. Dickersbach will report directly to Cloud5 President and CEO, Mark Holzberg, and will play a key role in advancing the company’s technology strategy, operational transformation and integration initiatives as Cloud5 continues to expand its business and geographic footprint.
Cloud5 also announced the appointment of Rick Galloway as Vice President of MSP Operations, further strengthening the leadership team supporting the company's growing Managed IT Services business. Galloway will report to Marc Vaughn, Cloud5's Senior Vice President of Operations. Galloway brings more than 25 years of technology and operational leadership experience, including more than two decades with Marriott International, which he will leverage to strengthen Cloud5's MSP operations, enhance service delivery and support the company's continued growth.
About Mike Dickersbach
Dickersbach joins Cloud5 during a period of significant growth and investment for the company. Cloud5 has expanded its MSP and Managed Security Services (MSSP) capabilities over the past three years and recently announced the acquisition of the business of interTouch CALA, extending the company’s presence across the Caribbean, Latin America and South America (CALA). As Chief Technology and Transformation Officer, Dickersbach will help Cloud5 integrate and scale technology, systems and processes across the organization while identifying opportunities to use automation, data and AI to improve customer and employee experiences.
“Mike understands hospitality technology from virtually every angle. He has led technology for hotel owners and operators, worked on the technology-provider side of the industry and managed complex transformation initiatives across large organizations,” said Mark Holzberg, President and CEO of Cloud5 Communications. “That experience is particularly valuable as Cloud5 enters its next phase of growth. As we expand organically and through acquisitions, Mike will help us bring together people and processes in ways that make us more efficient, strengthen the experience we deliver to customers and position Cloud5 to scale.”
Dickersbach brings more than 20 years of experience leading technology, transformation and service organizations across the hospitality, real estate and technology industries. Most recently, he served as Chief Information and Digital Officer at Highgate, where he led technology strategy and digital transformation across the global hospitality and real estate organization. His responsibilities included cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, data and AI, enterprise applications and hotel technology.
“Cloud5 has built a unique position in hospitality by combining deep industry knowledge with the technology and services hotels need to operate effectively,” said Dickersbach. “I’ve spent much of my career looking at technology from the hotel operator’s perspective, where reliability, simplicity and measurable business value matter most. I’m excited to bring that perspective to Cloud5 as we continue to grow, integrate new capabilities and build a technology and service organization that can scale alongside our customers.”
About Rick Galloway
Galloway began his hospitality career in hotel finance before transitioning into IT and leading regional field technology operations in major markets including Dallas-Fort Worth and Chicago.
Most recently, as Senior Director, Global Technology at Marriott, Galloway led multidisciplinary teams and helped establish a 24/7 Priority Incident Response Team. His work emphasized root-cause analysis, problem management and a more predictive approach to technology operations. At Cloud5, he will focus on strengthening MSP operations, service delivery and customer experience as the business continues to scale.
“Rick brings the combination of hospitality experience, technical knowledge and operational discipline we need as our MSP business grows,” Holzberg said. “Mike and Rick have both spent years on the customer side of hospitality technology. They understand firsthand the pressures hotel IT organizations face and what they expect from a technology partner. Adding that perspective to our leadership team will be invaluable as we expand our capabilities and serve a growing number of hospitality customers.”
