Dive Insight:
The new Dolce openings “highlight the brand’s commitment to delivering unique, design-forward stays in sought-after destinations,” Wyndham detailed in a release. The properties include Dolce by Wyndham Miami Beach; V Capri Palm Springs, a Dolce by Wyndham hotel; and Sleepy Hollow Hotel, a Dolce by Wyndham hotel in New York’s Hudson Valley.
The 90-key Miami hotel is located in South Beach, near the ocean and the Miami Beach Convention Center, while the Palm Spring hotel features 140 mid-century-inspired “retro-chic” guest rooms and suites, many with views of the San Jacinto Mountains.
The New York property, meanwhile, is an “estate-style retreat set on expansive grounds,” per a release. With 240 guest rooms and 30,000 square feet of meetings and events space, the hotel will cater to “groups seeking a spacious, scenic destination,” per Wyndham.
The hotels further Wyndham’s growth in “high-demand destinations” as the company “builds a portfolio of properties that deliver thoughtful, consistent, high-quality stays” that also “drive long-term value for owners,” Leo Danese, vice president of upscale and lifestyle brands, said in a statement.
This recent expansion of Wyndham’s lifestyle portfolio comes as “demand grows for stays that seamlessly blend place, design, and culture,” according to the company.
In the fall, Wyndham debuted economy lifestyle soft brand Dazzler Select by Wyndham. And earlier this month, The Monarch hotel opened in New Orleans under “smart lifestyle” brand HQ Hotels, a collaboration between Wyndham and SBE Entertainment Group.
Competitors Hyatt, Hilton and IHG Hotels & Resorts are also expanding their lifestyle portfolios.
