- My Place Hotels of America has opened a new property in Jonesboro, Arkansas, marking the extended stay brand’s second location in the state, per a Tuesday release shared with Hotel Dive.
- The 63-key My Place Hotel — Jonesboro, AR, features the brand’s standard My Place amenities, including in-room kitchens and a 24/7 grab-and-go market, per the release. Owned by Mataji LLC and designed by Salt Lake City-based Richardson Design Partnership, the pet-friendly property includes electric vehicle charging stations, “[enhancing] the hotel’s convenience for travelers.”
- The latest hotel opening comes as South Dakota-based My Place Hotels has been steadily growing its franchise-centric, extended stay footprint across the U.S. The brand’s second Arkansas location strengthens its presence in a market “defined by steady business, healthcare and long‑term travel demand,” per the release.

Jonesboro, located in northeastern Arkansas, “represents the kind of high‑demand market where MyPlace continues to grow,” My Place co-founder and CEO Ryan Rivett said in a statement. “With strong activity across healthcare, education and industrial work, Jonesboro is a great fit for our extended-stay model.”
My Place Hotel — Jonesboro, AR, is near some of the region’s largest employers, including Arkansas State University, several hospitals and industrial and manufacturing facilities, and is meant to serve business travelers, healthcare professionals, construction crews and university visitors, per the release.
The brand opened its first Arkansas property, the 63-room My Place Hotel — Bentonville/Rogers, AR, in late April 2025 near the Walmart headquarters and expansive hiking trails. My Place, which also has locations in Vermont, North Carolina and Missouri, currently has more than 120 hotels in its pipeline, according to the release.
According to a spokesperson with My Place, the company currently has 81 properties open and operating across the country.
The extended stay space has gained momentum in recent years, with competition growing more fierce. LivAway Suites has been expanding, with three more hotel openings planned in Arizona this year. Choice Hotels International has also been growing its midscale Everhome Suites portfolio, while Sonesta International Hotels Corporation launched a new extended stay concept called Americas Best Value Studios by Sonesta in October.
