Dive Brief:
- Economy extended stay hotel brand LivAway Suites has opened a location in Surprise, Arizona, as it strategically expands its footprint in the state, according to a Monday news release.
- The hotel, which broke ground in March 2025, offers “residentially inspired suites” that blend comfort and convenience with in-room kitchens, designated bathrooms and smart laundry facilities, per the release.
- The property marks the third LivAway Suites hotel to open in Arizona and “represents a monumental chapter for LivAway Suites,” as the brand seeks to capitalize on the state’s business and leisure demand drivers, according to LivAway Suites CEO Mike Nielson.
Dive Insight:
The Arizona opening comes as the brand aims to provide “lodging that feels like home to traveling medical professionals, construction workers, and military,” Nielson said in a statement. Situated near St. Joseph’s Westgate Medical Center, the property specifically caters to medical professionals, per the release.
The new LivAway Suites hotel also offers access to nearby spring training games, golf courses and hiking trails in the White Tank Mountains.
The opening follows two others in Arizona, including in the Phoenix suburbs of Tolleson and Glendale. LivAway opened the Glendale hotel in March. Additionally, the brand expects to open two more Arizona hotels later this year, per the release, including in Mesa.
LivAway’s Arizona expansion is part of its broader nationwide growth strategy. Since the brand’s launch in 2023, it has built a portfolio across Arizona, Maine, Tennessee, New York, Texas, Montana, Utah and Washington.
Other extended stay hotel brands currently expanding include My Place Hotels of America, Echo Suites by Wyndham Hotels & Resorts and Everhome Suites by Choice Hotels International.
