Dive Brief:
- Hyatt Hotels has made upgrades to Hyatt Leverage, the company’s business travel platform for small and midsize businesses, to help clients manage corporate travel in “one centralized place,” according to a news release.
- With Hyatt Leverage, eligible clients receive exclusive rates at more than 1,300 Hyatt hotels as well as end-to-end travel management through a “modern booking experience,” per the release. Hyatt Leverage first launched in 2018.
- The enhanced platform comes as small and midsize businesses continue to represent “a critical segment for Hyatt hotels,” said Alice Harrington-Caravello, Hyatt’s senior vice president of global sales and Americas commercial services, in a statement. Hyatt Leverage “makes booking and managing travel even easier” for today’s travelers, who “want greater personalization, collaboration and a seamless experience,” Harrington-Caravello said.
Dive Insight:
Hyatt Leverage is now powered by cloud-based travel technology provider Spotnana to “enable an integrated booking experience,” per the release, allowing clients to book, view and manage reservations and access their payments in one place.
Marriott International also recently expanded its partnership with Spotnana to simplify hotel booking and management for corporate travelers and link to its Marriott Bonvoy loyalty program.
Hyatt Leverage likewise offers loyalty benefits through its World of Hyatt program for both administrators and travelers, who can earn points for eligible travel and redeem them for free room nights, suite upgrades, experiences and more, per the release.
The revamped program comes as other hotel players have launched similar SME offerings, such as Hilton with Hilton for Business and Omni Hotels & Resorts with Omni Select Business.
The Hyatt Leverage enhancements arrive following Hyatt’s recent third-quarter earnings report, which saw RevPAR increase across all customer segments, with luxury hotels leading growth. Business transient RevPAR, meanwhile, increased in low single digits.
