Dive Insight:
Kasa Boston offers “modern residential comfort with elevated design and hospitality-forward amenities,” including a fitness center, entertainment lounge, conference facilities and other shared spaces, according to the release. The units feature floor-to-ceiling windows, 9-foot ceilings, fully equipped kitchens and in-unit washer and dryers.
The apart-hotel caters to business, leisure and group travelers; extended stay guests; and sports fans visiting the area, according to Kasa. Additionally, Boston is “a perennial top U.S. travel destination,” attracting visitors to its universities, life sciences and financial sectors and historic landmarks, per the release.
“Boston is one of the great American cities, and entering this market in a neighborhood as iconic as Fenway is a statement about the strength of our platform and the confidence our partners place in us,” Kasa CEO Roman Pedan said in a statement. “Boston has strong, durable travel demand and a highly discerning traveler base. It’s exactly the kind of market where the Kasa platform wins, and we're just getting started here.”
Boston’s hotel occupancy, ADR and RevPAR were all up year over year as of the end of 2025, according to tourism agency Meet Boston.
Kasa Boston replaces a Sonder property that formerly operated at Pierce Boston, following Sonder’s bankruptcy last year, Pedan confirmed to Hotel Dive. The CEO previously shared how Kasa planned to take over several Sonder properties across the country in the wake of Sonder’s collapse.
With the Boston property, Kasa continues to expand its portfolio, which currently spans more than 85 properties across the U.S. In January, Kasa entered into a strategic combination with residential hospitality provider Mint House, adding nearly 1,000 apartment-style units nationwide to its portfolio.
