This month, Cloud5 Communications, a leading provider of technology and communications solutions and services for more than 5,000 hotels across the Americas, celebrates the two-year anniversary of its Managed Services Provider (MSP) division.
Since late 2023, Cloud5’s MSP has helped hotel brands and management companies streamline IT operations, improve system reliability, and strengthen cybersecurity – achieving substantial growth in the process.
Over the past two years, the company has welcomed several new clients to its managed service desk, including Remington Hotels, Maine Course Hospitality and First Hospitality. Additionally, Cloud5’s MSP team has executed hundreds of IT projects for leading hotel brands and management companies. These projects include transitions, pin pad replacements, software upgrades, workstation replacements and a variety of other corporate IT projects.
Cloud5 long offered a range of Managed IT Services in connection with its network and telecommunications expertise, but the official launch of its MSP in 2023 prompted dramatic expansion of its Managed IT Services capabilities. The company invested in its product offerings, best-in-class tools and an MSP operations team with the distinct skill sets needed for high value, high touch MSP services. Since then, Cloud5 has significantly grown this division, creating more than 30 new MSP-dedicated jobs within the company.
“One of the key drivers behind our investment in MSP was the desire to become a more consultative partner to our customers,” said Mark Holzberg, President and CEO of Cloud5. “In just two years, we’ve experienced significant growth and are seeing our vision of building stronger, more strategic customer relationships come to life.”
While Cloud5’s MSP program was initially focused on its Managed Service Desk and professional services offerings, beginning in late 2024, the company began work on a comprehensive suite of cybersecurity services designed to address the evolving threat landscape. Today, the company delivers Managed Security Services Provider (MSSP) capabilities, strengthened by leading edge cybersecurity tools and professionals, to provide end-to-end IT security coverage for workstations, servers, networks and Cloud services. Cloud5’s MSSP capabilities include:
- Security Assessments
- Cloud5 Endpoint Defense – Workstations & Servers
- Cloud5 User Defense
- Managed Firewall and Network
- Internal Vulnerability Scanning
- Penetration Testing
- Compliance Management
- SOC services
- Security Program Consulting
“The addition of our cybersecurity offering ensures we’re delivering the protection and resilience that hotels need to operate confidently and securely,” said Holzberg. “As the threat landscape continues to evolve, safeguarding guest data and maintaining uninterrupted operations are more critical than ever. With our managed security capabilities layered into our broader MSP services, we’re helping hotels strengthen their defenses, reduce risk, and build trust with every guest interaction.”
