Remington Hospitality named Jason Kreul chief operating officer, effective Aug. 5, the Dallas-based hospitality management firm announced Monday.
In his new role, Kreul will oversee hotel operations, engineering, food and beverage and commercial strategy for both assets under management and ones managed by third parties.

Kreul will “play a key role” in accelerating Remington’s growth across North America, the Caribbean and Latin America, according to the company. He will report to Ben Perelmuter, who was named CEO in May.
Remington’s previous COO, Jason Reader, jumped to the same role at Davidson Hospitality Group earlier this month.
Kreul joins Remington from Chicago-based First Hospitality, where he was also chief operating officer, overseeing the company's operations, commercial strategy and people and talent divisions, according to Remington.
Before that, Kreul was president of Highgate’s Central and Western Group and an executive at hospitality management firms White Lodging Services and Windgardner & Hammons, according to LinkedIn.
Kreul has held general manager roles at lifestyle, independent and full-service hotels in urban and resort markets, per the announcement. He also serves on industry and community advisory boards for major hotel brands including Hyatt Hotels and Marriott International.
