Hospitality management company PM Hotel Group appointed Kirk Pederson as chief operating officer, according to a release obtained by Hotel Dive.
Pederson most recently served as president of third-party management company Sightline Hospitality, which merged with PM Hotel Group in 2024 under the PM Hotel Group name.
Pederson’s appointment reflects PM Hotel Group’s “continued evolution towards a more integrated, performance-focused management platform,” including across revenue management, sales, marketing and distribution, according to the release.
Prior to Sightline, Pederson held senior acquisitions and asset management roles at Morgan Stanley Real Estate Funds, Prime Property Fund and other institutional investment firms, according to the release. Earlier in his career, he worked at hospitality companies American General Hospitality, MeriStar Hospitality Corp. and Interstate Hotels & Resorts.
“Kirk brings a rare combination of institutional ownership experience and on-the-ground operational leadership,” Joseph Bojanowski, president of PM Hotel Group, said in a statement. “As our platform continues to grow in scale and complexity, having a leader who understands both capital expectations and day-to-day performance will be critical to maintaining the level of discipline and accountability our owners expect.”
As COO, Pederson will oversee hotel operations and commercial strategy across the entire PM Hotel Group portfolio, which includes more than 80 premium-branded, lifestyle and independent hotels across the U.S.
Other hospitality management companies that have made C-suite appointments this year include Peregrine Hospitality, which tapped Heather Stege as chief operating officer in January, and Sage Hospitality, which named Daniel del Olmo CEO last month.
