Peregrine Hospitality has appointed restaurant industry executive Heather Stege as chief operating officer.
In her new role, Stege will partner with executive leadership across Peregrine’s portfolio of resort, luxury, boutique and select-service hotels to drive portfolio performance and operational excellence, according to a release obtained by Hotel Dive.
Stege joins Peregrine after serving as brand president at KBP Inspired, where she oversaw the Arby’s brand across four states and 120 locations, according to the release. Prior to that, Stege held multiple executive leadership roles at Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria, per her LinkedIn.
“Heather’s background leading growing, multi-unit brands brings a valuable operating perspective to Peregrine Hospitality,” CEO Greg Kennealey said in the release. “She has a proven ability to strengthen platforms while driving performance, which aligns well with where we are as a company as we continue to expand.”
In addition to Stege, Peregrine appointed three senior vice presidents, per the release. Anthony Gaeta will lead the company’s technology and IT operations, while Christina Gregg will oversee HR operations and Jeff Gross leads asset management initiatives.
The executives all bring hospitality industry experience to their roles, with Gaeta most recently working at Benchmark Hospitality International. Gregg, meanwhile, has held leadership roles at Benchmark and Gaylord Hotels, and Gross most recently led the managed hotel division at Choice Hotels International, per the release.
The new hires will be “pivotal in driving innovation, empowering our people, and enhancing portfolio performance,” Peregrine Chief People Officer Karen DiFulgo said.
The company also recently named a new chief commercial officer and chief financial officer.
The appointments come after Peregrine Hospitality rebranded last year to expand its platform and grow across all asset classes in the hospitality sector.
