Dive Insight:
The new Mesa hotel is part of LivAway Suites’ rapidly growing national development pipeline, which includes 22 locations either open or under development, plus another 12 to 15 groundbreakings planned for 2026.
“Reflecting on our first groundbreaking in Nashville two years ago, LivAway Suites has expanded at an incredible pace, supported by strong market fundamentals and a disciplined development approach,” Kevin Dailey, chief operating officer of LivAway Suites, said in the release. “Mesa is a thriving hub of technology and industry. By bringing our fifth Arizona location to this dynamic market, we're building out a high-performing regional footprint while delivering a modern, affordable product that resonates with extended-stay guests."
In September 2024, LivAway Suites said it planned to add more than a dozen hotels across Arizona in the coming years. At the same time, the real estate investment and development firm behind LivAway Suites, West77 Partners, announced plans to open an office in Phoenix in addition to its existing offices in Bellevue, Washington, and Salt Lake City, Utah.
West77 President Dan Barrett said in the September 2024 release that the Phoenix area has “great potential for growth and success.” The company in March of this year broke ground on a Surprise, Arizona, location, following groundbreakings in nearby Tolleson and Glendale.
The hotel brand, which launched in 2023, has positioned itself to cater to the premium economy market. It currently has nine open properties, according to its website, including three in Utah and two in Washington state.
