A highly anticipated voco hotel is now open in the heart of Manhattan, as the brand expands its presence in the state of New York with its largest property in the Americas, parent company IHG Hotels & Resorts announced Tuesday.
The 419-room voco Times Square – Broadway joins the brand’s two other locations in Manhattan: voco Times Square South New York, a 224-key hotel located in Midtown; and voco The Franklin New York, a 50-room hotel located on the Upper East Side. The opening brings the brand’s New York state count to seven.
The 32-story, pet-friendly hotel features what IHG claims is Times Square’s only hotel rooftop offering unobstructed panoramic views of the city skyline. At 2,400 square feet, the indoor-outdoor rooftop offers space for group celebrations and private gatherings and is open to the public for locals looking to take in the lively atmosphere.
The hotel represents “one of the final new-build developments approved in this landmark neighborhood,” per the release.
Located along the bustling intersection of Seventh Avenue and West 48th Street, voco Times Square – Broadway is conveniently located near New York City attractions, including Radio City Music Hall and the Museum of Modern Art.
The hotel is meant to evoke the feel of Prohibition-era speakeasies, “blending sleek lines, rich textures, and stylish furnishings with modern comfort,” per the release. The property includes a bar and lounge called The Velvet Fox that features cocktails, small bites and live music.
The release also states the lobby is meant to be welcoming, with plush seating and warm lighting to “create a cozy, engaging atmosphere reminiscent of the Jazz Age.”
The voco Times Square – Broadway opening comes on the heels of voco opening its 100th hotel last summer 2025. Ginger Taggart, vice president of brand management for global premium brands at IHG, said in a statement that IHG is “keeping the momentum strong with this iconic property.”
“When we first launched the voco brand, our goal was to reach 200 open hotels within the first 10 years, and we’re well on our way to achieving that,” Taggart said, adding that there’s “much more to come.”
Voco, which launched in June 2018, has been continuing its momentum in the U.S. with recent openings in Flagstaff, Arizona; Laguna Hills, California; and Moab, Utah, according to the release. There are a total of 124 voco hotels open and operating, with an additional 108 in the development pipeline, according to IHG estimates from the end of 2025.
