IHG Hotels & Resorts has tapped global technology executive Wei Manfredi to guide the company’s artificial intelligence strategy, according to a Tuesday announcement.
As senior vice president of AI and architecture, Manfredi is tasked with strengthening IHG’s technical and data architecture and fostering partnerships with leading technology organizations to ensure the company’s approach to AI is “innovative and grounded in operational excellence, as well as responsible and secure,” per a release.
Manfredi joins IHG with deep technology expertise and franchise understanding, according to the company. She most recently served as vice president of global architecture, data and generative AI at McDonald’s and has previously held leadership roles at global companies including Google Cloud, Lululemon and Visa, per her LinkedIn.
Additionally, Manfredi has been recognized as a top AI leader for 2026 and one of the 100 most influential AI leaders in America, IHG said in the release.
“Wei has a proven track record of leading AI-driven strategies for global brands,” said Jolie Fleming, chief product and technology officer at IHG. “We’re excited to build on our momentum and shape the future of hospitality together.”
With Manfredi’s appointment, IHG is “further investing in technology leadership to drive meaningful benefits for its owners, guests and teams,” the company said.
As IHG competitors Marriott International, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts and Hyatt invest in agentic development, hospitality professionals told Hotel Dive that agentic commerce could begin to reshape hotel booking, specifically, in 2026.
