The Hyatt Regency Denver at Colorado Convention Center has completed its $70 million renovation project, debuting a residential-inspired design and more event space, according to a Thursday news release.
Located in the heart of downtown Denver, the 1,100-key hotel features reimagined guest rooms and suites as well as “new and enhanced gathering spaces, designed to elevate both the guest and local experience,” per the release.
Guest rooms incorporate materials “inspired by the textures of the Rockies and the city’s urban charm,” with warm, refined furnishings and soft green accents, according to the release. Rooms were modernized to include functional under-TV storage, USB-C ports, enhanced lighting and spacious work areas, while updated bathrooms include illuminated mirrors and new bathtubs. Some rooms also feature lounge seating with city and mountain views.
The renovation, completed in just 14 months, also debuts a new 891-square-foot meeting space called Summit Five, adding to the property’s existing 60,000-plus square feet of event space, per Hyatt.
“This transformation represents a meaningful investment in both our physical spaces and the people who bring them to life each day,” Greg Leonard, general manager of the hotel, said in a statement. “We’re elevating the guest experience while also supporting our team with an environment designed for long-term success.”
Additionally, the renovation coincides with the hotel’s 20th anniversary, marking a new chapter for the hotel that continues “to reflect Denver’s dynamic spirit while offering a refreshed, sophisticated stay for years to come,” per the release.
The project follows previous renovations of the hotel’s dining venues and public spaces in 2018 and 2019.
Local vendors, including DLR Group, Artaic Group, Benjamin West and Milender White, spearheaded the renovation, “creating a finished product that feels distinctly Denver,” per the release.
The revitalized Hyatt Regency Denver at Colorado Convention Center follows other recent Hyatt Regency renovations, such as the Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill in September, as well as the Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort and Villas’ $100 million refresh earlier this year, which brought a lagoon and waterfront event venue to the Texas hotel.
Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe is also undergoing renovations, slated for completion late next year.
