More than 3,000 hospitality industry leaders traveled to Phoenix earlier this month for The Lodging Conference.
Among those who attended the three-day event were economists; hotel owners and investors; and C-suite executives from Marriott International, Hilton, Sonesta Hotels and more.
On panels and during breakout sessions, the industry professionals mulled over the biggest challenges facing hotels currently, including tariffs and a turbulent travel environment. They also discussed the top opportunities for the industry, pointing to development wins and the rapid growth of artificial intelligence.
Hotel Dive was in attendance and gleaned several top trends that will undoubtedly impact hotels in the coming months. Below is a roundup of the key takeaways from the conference. The event will return to the JW Marriott Phoenix Desert Ridge Resort & Spa next year on Oct. 5-8.
