Outdoor destination brand Gravity Haus opened its latest property in Big Sky, Montana, the Colorado-based hotel brand announced Thursday.
The 29-room lifestyle hotel offers a taco restaurant, coffee shop, bar, fitness center and coworking space in the former River Rock Lodge, which Gravity Haus affiliates purchased from Big Sky’s Lone Mountain Land Company last year.
Located in Big Sky Town Center, the property — which Gravity Haus describes as a “hotel and social club” — offers access to Yellowstone National Park and the nation's third-largest ski resort, Big Sky Resort.
The brand will also feature member experiences and networking, with meetups “focused on adventure, community development and personal growth,” the company shared.
In a statement in January, Gravity Haus CEO Jim Deters said, “We opened Gravity Haus Aspen in December, Jackson Hole last January and today we announce the Big Sky offering. I feel like we are completing the ‘skier’s triple crown.’”
Gravity Haus Aspen closed this summer, according to Aspen Daily News.
Deters described the brand as an “approachable luxury” offering for the “world-class destination and outdoor community.”
Gravity Haus’ expansion comes amid increased demand for outdoor-focused accommodations. Ski resorts, in particular, are drawing luxury hotel development.
Founded in 2019, Gravity Haus properties span Vail, Breckenridge, Steamboat, Winter Park and Denver in Colorado; Jackson Hole, Wyoming; Truckee, California; and Moab, Utah.
