Aimbridge Hospitality named Chris O’Donnell president of its select service division, effective Sept. 15, the Plano, Texas-based hospitality management company announced Thursday.
In his new role, O’Donnell will focus on operational performance and driving results for the division, according to Aimbridge.
In a statement, Aimbridge CEO Craig Smith called O’Donnell “a proven leader with deep expertise in the hospitality landscape and a strong track record of driving operational excellence.”
O’Donnell joins Aimbridge from hospitality management firm Atrium Hospitality, where he was chief operating officer. Prior to Atrium, O’Donnell held executive roles at Magna Hospitality and White Lodging Services, according to his LinkedIn. He began his hospitality career as a general manager at Marriott International, Aimbridge shared.
O’Donnell said Aimbridge’s select service division is “uniquely positioned to deliver exceptional value to owners and memorable experiences to guests.”
“I look forward to working with our talented teams to build on the strong foundation already in place,” he said, in a statement.
Aimbridge created an operating division dedicated to select service properties last February, when it restructured to streamline operations.
Since then, the company has tapped several leaders for C-suite roles, including Smith. Most recently, Aimbridge named a new board of managers and a chief commercial officer, Allison Handy.
